Principal Dancers

My research for this piece continued to return me to this famous pose from the ballet “Giselle”. I am drawn to the poise, grace and movement that ballet dancers can portray but I know that comes after many years of study and practice. I think I was first enraptured with ballet when my neighbour and childhood friend studied with the National School of Ballet. Here the Principal Dancers move into position and hold this pose for a moment before the ballet continues.

$650.00

The ballerina stands on pointe shoes of pink rose petals with just a hint of white chrysanthemum florets. Her dress is underlaid with dark yellow rose petals and it is completed with yellow rose petals. The bodice of her dress is made of lighter yellow rose petals, while her arms and legs are red rose petals. The leggings of the ballet dancer are lighter blue larkspur petals, and his shirt is the darker blue larkspur petals with touches of white Queen Anne’s Lace. His ballet shoes are made from high mountain silver stem leaves while red rose petals complete his wrist and hand. Finally, these dancers are standing on a floor of bark and their hair is dyed red baby’s breath florets.
